You stand up and look around to get your bearings. All you see is emptiness and a small house directly in front of you.
//This must be where I live//, you say to yourself.
Outside the small house is a sign that reads "Carriage House." You wonder what this Carriage House place is and why it has a sign if it's where you live.
Now that your eyes have focused from the bright sun, you no longer just see emptiness. Instead, you see other buildings that have the same color scheme surrounding the area. You also notice a parking lot that you're standing in. It appears to be shared between this Carriage House place and a much larger house.
You notice that you have luggage with you and a card with your picture on it. You decide that unpacking your stuff is a good idea; but which house is yours? Is it the small one or the larger one?
[[Larger house->Locked Out]]
[[Smaller House->Home Again]]
You walk over to the larger of the two houses and pull out the small card with your face on it to open the door. A small light blinks red and it makes a weird noise.
//Guess this wasn't the right house//, you tell yourself.
Congrats! You've made a fool of yourself on your first day!
[[Go to the other house->Home Again]]
You walk over to the smaller of the two houses and pull out the small card with your face on it. A green light flashes and the door beeps. You turn the doorknob and pull at the door. It doesn't move.
"It's a push door, not pull," you hear someone tell you. You turn around and see a girl who's a bit shorter than you. She has brown hair and seems like she may be new as well.
"Who are you?" You manage to get out.
"I'm Gillian, your RA."
"Sorry, what's an RA?"
"Oh, sorry. I'm your Resident Assistant. I'm in charge of the house. I'm a sophmore here."
//She's shorter than I'd expect//, you think to yourself.
"Do you want help with your stuff?" Gillian asks.
"Sure, lead the way!" You tell her.
You follow your RA, Gillian, to your room. She puts your stuff on one side of the room since your roommate is on the other. The first thing you notice when walking into your room is that your bed is high off the ground and you don't like heights at all. Your heart sinks into your stomach as you realize that there isn't much room to put your desk and other items if you unloft your bed.
Suddenly, the people in your room propose a way to unloft the bed and make everything fit. You approve of the idea and it's set in motion. The bed is unlofted in due time and your desks are put right next to each other.
//This is a pretty nice setup//, you think to yourself.
You are informed by your RA, Gillian, that you will be exploring campus today. You have two roommates that you can follow throughout the day. Dakota is the one that shares your section of the room, 103. David is the one who kind of has his own room, 103A. Who do you decide to follow?
[[Follow David->David]]
[[Follow Dakota->Dakota]]
You decide to follow David around, mainly because you can keep track of him easier. As you are following him around, you are introduced to his girlfriend, Kati. She's in the Professional Writing major. You also find out that David is in the Game Management major.
First up for the day is getting to know each other. This involves a lot of icebreakers and introductions. When you arrive in the room you are assigned to with the rest of Carriage house, you sit next to David who's next to Kati. You all introduce yourselves with your name, preferred pronouns, a fun fact, and where you're from. Out of everyone there, you only hear a few people say they're from Pennsylvania, your home state.
You then play some icebreakers that don't really help at all because the group is both your house and the larger one. All together, that's at least fourty people. Much larger than what you're used to. That's half of your high school graduating class.
You continue following David between activities, learning more and more about him throughout the day. You even follow him and sit with him at the orientation lunch that they have. You don't eat much because it's a really hot day and you're nervous even though you feel at home.
"I only visited here once on admitted student's day," you tell David.
"I've visited more than that so I'll help you out if you need it," he assures you.
In the bag that was given to you at the beginning of the day you find a map of campus. The first thing you do is find out where your classes will be when they start. Based on your house's location, you think that leaving ten minutes early for class is a good idea.
Over the three days that are orientation, you are introduced to the rest of your house while mostly getting to know David better. You meet Joe, Ryan, Wes, Andy, Brett, Sage, Lauren, Theresa, Emileigh, Avry, and Riley. On your floor, the first floor, there's four rooms. The rooms consist of Joe and Ryan in one, Brett, Wes, and Avry in another, Andy and Riley in another, then your room. The second floor consists of Theresa and Sage in one room, Kati and Lauren in another, then Gillian in the final room. Emileigh is the RA of the larger house and also looks over Carriage.
When you first meet Brett, he introduces himself as a hippie. He explains that he wears a lot of "drug rugs."
//He must be the Ultimate Hippie//, you tell yourself.
Wes, a man with long, black hair walks up to you, "Hey, I'm Wes. I'm Jewish."
//Ah-ha! The Ultimate Jew//, you say to yourself.
When you first meet Joe, he introduces himself, "I'm the Ultimate Glass Cannon."
//He's the Ultimate Glass Cannon//, you make sure to remember that.
In the first few days, Dakota falls down the stairs and walks away unhurt.
//Ultimate Stair Dismounter it is!// You tell yourself.
Ryan introduces himself, "Hey, I'm a hustler."
//Ultimate Hustler it is then!// You try to jam that into your brain.
Every time you see Leo, he's wearing a maroon hat. He is henceforth referred to as the "Ultimate Maroon Hat" by everyone.
Andy introduces himself while tring to slip a spoon into your pocket. You catch him because he isn't very discreet.
//Ultimate Spooner is Andy.//
"Hey, I didn't formally introduce myself yet," David walks up to you, "I'm the //Ultimate Dad//. Nice to meet you," David tells you as he shakes your hand.
"Hi, Harrison. I'm Sage, the //Ultimate Ice Cream Scooper//. I work at Ben and Jerry's," Sage informs you.
"It's me, Gillian. I'm the //Ultimate Flamer//. I pick on people for things they do or say," Gillian introduces herself to you.
Kati walks up to you and introduces herself, "I'm Kati and I'm the //Ultimate Copyeditor//."
Lauren, who you hadn't seen before then, walks up to you, "I'm Lauren, the //Ultimate Triple-Question-Mark//. You have to say it that fast."
"Hello, I'm Theresa and also the //Ultimate Italian//. Nice to meet you," Theresa informs you of her heritage.
Emileigh is on duty that night in Carriage, "Hello, I'm Emileigh and the //Ultimate Planner//. Nice to meet you all."
On the first day of college, Avry stumbles into the house.
//She's the Ultimate Klutz then//, you tell yourself.
You walk into a room on the first floor and find Riley in there. She has cool posters all over the place, "Where'd you get these posters?" You ask her.
"I made them," she replies.
//Ultimate Artist then//, you tell yourself.
One day during orientation or shortly after, Brett asks if you want to go for a walk with him. What do you do?
[[Walk with him->A Walk With Brett]]
[[Kindly decline->A Night At Home]]
You decide that following Dakota, who you share a room with, would be beneficial. Dakota talks to various people in your house and you get to meet them early in the day. You continue following Dakota, discovering various parts of campus and overall having a good time.
Later that day, you go to a room with Carriage House and the larger house nearby to get to know one another. You sit next to Dakota and get to know him better. You find out that he likes video games as much as you do.
You sit with him at orientation lunch and talk to him there, "I've only been to campus once," you tell him.
"I've been here a few times before," you're told.
At lunch, you don't eat much because it's hot out and you are incredibly nervous even though you feel so at home.

[[Walk with him->A Walk With Brett]]
[[Kindly decline->A Night At Home]]
You decide to walk with Brett and get to know him better. A few people come along as well. Brett takes the group of people and yourself down to the nearby lake. You had never been this close to a lake this large before. It was one hundred miles across and went to New York state.
When you got down to the lake, you were introduced to the other people and you hung out for a while. All the while, your dormmates were wondering where you were all that time. After getting to know these other people, Brett led all of you back to campus where you were reunited with Carriage House. A saying within the house was started that night.
This saying was, "Whereison is Harrison." It would remain on the "meme board" for quite some time.
//Well, I'm a meme now. It was only a matter of time//, you think to yourself.
You decide that you should probably go to sleep soon. How long before class do you wake up?

You decide that staying at Carriage House will be a good idea. You don't feel like exploring the city yet, maybe some other time.
"Maybe you'll come next time," Brett suggests to you.
"Possibly," you respond.
You boot up your computer to play games or buy some; you're not sure which you'll do. Since you have a bunch of money, you will likely buy some games.
You decide to play some games you already own; you need to save the money just in case.
After playing games for a while, you decide that sleep is something you need. How long before class do you wake up?
