"WAKE UP, OR YOU'RE GOING TO BE LATE FOR SCHOOL!"
It's your mom yelling from the hallway. You were having a great dream about designing new rides for Six Flags and riding them with all of your friends, but it's time to get back to reality. You check your clock and see that you only have 5 minutes to get to the bus stop, so you grab a Pop Tart and head out of your front door.
Just as the bus is pulling up, it suddenly hits you: you've left your math homework back in your room! If you go back for it, you'll miss the bus and have to ride with your sister Monica, who blasts the WORST music when she drives. But if you don't go back, you'll get a zero on your math assignment!
Do you:
Forget the homework and get on the [[bus]]?
or
Go back and [[get your homework]]?
You see your friend Paul on the bus, and decide to sit next to him. You tell him about forgetting your math homework and how bummed you are to have to take a zero.
Kyle, who is sitting in front of you, turns around and says "Hey, you don't have to get a zero on that assignment. I'll let you copy my homework answers, if you return the favor sometime."
You aren't sure what to do. You've never cheated before and could probably make up for that zero if you work really hard for the rest of the semester. On the other hand, if your grades get any lower, your dad said you have to sit out at this week's soccer game.
Do you:
Take Kyle's paper and [[copy it]]?
or
Take the zero and work harder to [[make up for it]]?
You let the bus leave without you, then run back to your house to grab your math homework.
"Ugh! I'm guessing you need a ride now?" Your sister seems annoyed. "I already told 3 of my friends I'd take them to school, so you have to sit in the back."
The ride to school is miserable! You have to squish between two of your sister's friends in the backseat and listen to their horrible music and bad singing. But hey, at least you wont get a zero on your homework! Your dad said that if your grades went down any more, you would have to sit out this week's soccer game.
You jump out of the car (finally!) and walk to your [[first class]].
You take Kyle's paper and copy down the answers. You feel a little nervous after you do it, but you really don't want to have to miss soccer this weekend.
You get off the bus, walk to your math class, and hand in your homework. Your teacher doesn't notice anything strange, so it looks like you got away with it!
After class, as you head toward your science classroom, Kyle runs up to you. "Wait up! You're getting straight A's in science, right?"
"Yeah, it's my best subject. Why?"
"Well," explains Kyle, "I need to call in that favor you owe me. I didn't study for today's quiz on plant and animal cells, so could you keep your answer sheet where I can see it?"
You aren't sure what to do. You know that your science teacher, Ms. Microscope, hates when people cheat. Still, a deal's a deal.
Do you:
Let Kyle [[cheat]] off of your test paper?
or
Break the deal you had and tell him you just [[can't do it]]?
You tell Kyle, "No thanks, I'm the one who forgot my homework, so I'll deal with it." He rolls his eyes and turns back around in his seat.
You get to school and walk to your math class. You take a zero on your homework, but you feel like you did the right thing.
Your teacher assigns a group project that will be due next Monday, and lets you pick your partner!
You make eye contact with Jennifer, who you don't know very well, and it looks like she wants to be your partner. She is really shy, but is a hard worker and gets good grades.
You feel a tap on your shoulder, and it's your good friend Oliver. He doesn't usually pay attention in math class, and would rather talk than do work, but he tells really funny jokes that crack you up!
Who do you choose as your partner?
[[Jennifer]] or [[Oliver]]?
In math class, you hand in your homework. The teacher assigns a group project that will be due next Monday, and lets you pick your partner!

Who do you choose as your partner?
[[Jennifer]] or [[Oliver]]?
You decide to work with Jennifer on the project, and make plans to meet up after school to get started.
She comes to your house and after having a snack, you get right to work! The two of you outline what needs to be done, then split the work equally. Within just a few hours, you finish the project, and have enough time to play a video game before her dad comes to pick her up!
It turns out the two of you have more in common than you thought, and that she's really funny once you get to know her. You're glad you got your project done, and happy that you made a new friend!
The [[End]].
You pick Oliver as your partner, and decide to work on it tomorrow after school.
When Oliver comes over, he suggests that you play a few rounds of Rocket League to get the creative juices flowing. After you each have a few turns, you decide to get to work.
You start to outline the project, and Oliver goes to the kitchen to get a snack. He comes back 20 minutes later (how long does it take to grab some crackers?!) and tells you his mom just texted and said he needs to walk home.
"You can handle the rest of the project, right?" he asks as he walks out your door.
You have to stay up most of the night finishing the assignment [[by yourself]].
You feel terrible doing it, but during the quiz, you place your answer sheet on the corner of your desk where Kyle can see it.
You glance up at Ms. Microscope, and it looks like she didn't notice, but you can't be sure... Either way, you're glad when science class is over!
The rest of the day flies by, and you're pretty tired by the time you get back on the bus to [[go home]].
You tell Kyle that you're sorry, but you just can't help him cheat on the quiz.
"What?! We had a deal!" He seems pretty mad, maybe even mad enough to turn you in for copying his math homework even though that will get him in trouble too.
Do you:
Keep [[quiet]] and hope Kyle doesn't turn you in?
or
Go to your math teacher and [[admit]] to cheating?
The next day when you arrive at school, you get called to the principal's office.
"Your teacher tells me that you have been involved in a cheating incident," he says. "She is giving both you and Kyle a zero, and according to school rules, you will have one week of detention."
When you get home that night, your parents tell you they are very disappointed and explain why cheating is a bad idea. As punishment, you not only have to sit on the sidelines at your soccer game on Saturday, but you also have to miss the end of year party with your team.
Man, what a bad decision! You promise yourself not to cheat again, and think of ways that you can win back the trust of your parents and teachers.
The [[End]]
Did that go the way you wanted? Do you wonder what would have happened if you made a different decision?
Play the game again from the [[Start]]!
You feel bad about backing out of your deal with Kyle, and hope he doesn't tell on you.
Later that day, you overhear some kids talking at lunch and they say that Kyle went ahead and spilled the beans! It sounds like you're busted for copying his homework!
The rest of the day is a blur, and you feel sick to your stomach as you get on the bus to [[go home]].
You regret copying Kyle's homework, and to make up for it, you decide to turn yourself in.
Your math teacher is very upset that you would cheat on an assignment, but gives you credit for being honest and admitting your mistake. She gives you a zero for a grade, but decides not to punish you further as long as you don't do it again.
You feel good about yourself for not accepting a grade that you didn't really earn. You make sure to remember your homework from now on, and work hard to make up for that zero.
That weekend, you play in your soccer game, and even have an assist for the winning goal!
The [[End]].
When you turn in the project, your teacher says it's one of the best examples she's ever seen.
"Thanks! We worked really hard on that," says Oliver.
You are annoyed that he's taking credit for work that he didn't do, and vow to be more careful the next time you get to pick a partner.
The [[End]].
