Its white polished walls and large front windows stands out among the dilapidated buildings that surround it. It looks totally out of place, yet very inviting. All that sits between you and getting into the store is this man. If only there was a way to distract him. The snug is empty and great for a bit of privacy. On the table is an plain looking [[key|Key]].
So he leans in close, his eyes are full of anger.\n\n"This little guy", he says, looking at the Octo in front of him on the bar. "He used to be a part of me", he continues. "I could hear his thoughts and let me tell you that they were not good". He takes a sip of whiskey. "You got to stay away from those things, those evil people at Gortek. They will take over the world." With that the man falls asleep right then and there in his seat.<<set $advised = "yes">>\n\n<<display Wares>>

The keychain has the name "Gastons" on it. You take the key and leave the snug. The lone [[man|NPC]] and the [[exit|City Center]] beckon from opposite corners of the [[Bar]].<<set $key = "yes">>
To Conform Or Not To Conform?
This bar is a dump. There is a smell that can only be gotten from neglect. There is a pool table with a tear in the felt. Welcoming is not what this place was going for in its design. At the front of the bar is a nice [[snug|Snug]]. The rest of the bar is taken up with stalls, most of them empty. But you can see one [[lost soul|NPC]] hunched over the counter, and in another stall, a [[dark figure]] whos eyes are trained on you the moment you stepped foot in here.\n\nThe [[City Center]] is through the door behind you.
<<if $key == "no">>The Restaraunts is closed: you'll have to come back later.\n<html><br></html><<display City Center>><<else>>This is no restaraunt. It looks like some kind of day spa for Octopus'. There is no one here yet you see a light on in the back office. Walking into the office you notice an unlocked [[safe|Safe]].\n<html><br></html>A patch of daylight spills in from the [[exit|City Center]] but doesn't get very far.<<endif>>
The [[Glowtech Co.]] has reduced everyone to walking around with Octopus' attached to their brains . They look like mindless drones walking off to wherever it is they have to go. A large [[billboard|Billboard]] takes pride of place at the entrance to the Glowtech [[Store]]. Around it is a cluster of buildings, most of them abandoned-looking, except for a [[Bar]] and a [[Restaraunt]].
You enter the code you found in the Restaraunt. The doors slide open. The Gortek Store is still closed so you sneak in quietly.\n\nThere is a door to your left marked [["Staff Only"|Not Conformed]] and a large button in the center of the room with a sign that says [["Push to upgrade your life"|Conformed]]
A company that came from no where to become the biggest in the world in just thirty years. It sells the Octoplant, an add on to your own brain that gives your brain the eight extra brains from a living octopus. When you have one it wraps itself around your neck like a scarf. It feeds and hydrates itself from your body through a feeding tube connected to the lower intestine. \n\n<<display City Center>>

"It's nice to see that not everyone has been sucked in by those stupid Octopus things."<html><br></html>\nYou look at him blankly.\n"Are you thinking of getting one yourself?" he asks, now looking less cheerful. You notice he has an Octo, but it's not around his neck. "There is something strange about the people that have been getting them recently." \nIt seems as though he's willing to offer some [[advice|Advice]].<html><br></html>\nOr you could simply [[walk away|Bar]].<<set $metNPC = "yes">><<else>><<display Wares>><<endif>>
You awake and things are different. You feel quite groggy still but your brain is firing faster than ever. You remember things that you have long forgotten. You can see your memories like they were high definition videos. Then he speaks to you. "Who is that?", you ask yourself. The room is empty. \n"I am wrapped around your neck and what's mine is yours".\n\n"YOU CONFORMED"\nTHE END
